The Long and Winding Road

Ever feel like you have been traveling on life’s journey in the wrong direction? In Luke 24, there are two travelers on the 7-mile road to Emmaus (a very small town opposite of where Jerusalem was). In Luke 23, Jesus has died and then rose from the dead. Why would Jesus take time to catch “Cleo” and his companions, who were downcast and discouraged on the road to Emmaus? Jesus meets us where we are, whether we are on the mountaintop or in the valley of discouragement.
