If you could witness only five days from Jesus’ earthly ministry, this would be one of them. At a time when demonic forces were feared and opposition to Jesus was growing, He boldly confronted the powers of darkness. Through His victory, Jesus demonstrated His absolute authority and proved that no evil can stand against the Son of God.

“The people were amazed at His teaching, because He taught them as one who had authority, not as the teachers of the law.” v22

Jesus’ life matched His message

“He even gives orders to impure spirits and they obey Him.” v27b

Truth: “Authority is not just pronounced but proven.”
