Pastor Mike Maiolo
Pastor Mike grew up in Southern California with a desire to play professional tennis. He gave his life to Christ and soon after was called to serve him full time. After spending six years working with young people in Hawaii, he and his wife Laura came back to serve at Mission Viejo Christian Church. He has a passion to see a revival through prayer within our city, until all people of every culture come to Jesus Christ. Pastor Mike and Laura have two sons, Michael and Jonathan.
Pastor Gerardo Arenado
Gerardo Arenado was born in Guantanamo Cuba came to this country as a young boy in 1966. were he moved to southern California. He came to know the Lord at 25 and always felt the call to ministry. He has been married to Laura for 28 years.
They have 4 children ranging from 17 to27 . His prayer and heart is for families. Pastor Gerardo believes as the family goes so does our communities, cities, state and nation.

Tim graduated from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago where he also met the love of his life and partner in ministry of nearly 34 years, Jerenne. Together, Tim and Jerenne share a passion for ministry to kids of all ages, which displays itself in a deep desire to create environments for disciple making. They have two children who are married and two amazing grandsons, Hudson and Max! Tim enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, golfing, hunting, sports. Oh, yes, Disneyland and any beach is always on his list of most favorite things to do!
Pastor Brian Eaves
Children's PastorBrian grew up in Southern California and gave his life to Christ his freshman year of college. He graduated from Hope International University in 1999. He has served in a variety of ministry positions including children's, youth and outreach over the span of the last 12 years. He is passionate about being used by God to reach people in the community with the good news of Christ while serving together and doing the good things God has called us to do. Pastor Kody Farrel

Kody grew up and lived in Orange County his entire life where he was a dedicated athlete Upon, a few different ventures in professional sports, Kody felt that the Lord was leading him to carry that same mentality for Kingdom work and was called to ministry a few years after accepting the Lord at age 17. Kody was led to Vanguard University,Kody’s passion is to be a Godly example and leader to his wife Madison and the students that he has been blessed to do life with.
Mary Okida Mokida
Mary serves as the Creative Director at MVCC, where she gets to help people experience God in unique and creative ways. Whether it’s a special church event, life celebration, or creating a marketing piece for a ministry, she is passionate about communicating the beauty and necessity of the Gospel through visually attractive things in and around our church campus. It brings her great joy to be a part of a loving, church family at MVCC for over 15 years.
Michael was born and raised in Orange County. He was married to his incredible wife Jennifer in 1983 and also became a member of MVCC that year. They have three daughters, Rita, Melissa, and Samantha. Their three grandchildren are truly adored. Michael was baptized at MVCC in December of 1983. He owned and operated a construction company for 34 years until coming on staff this last year. Michael’s goal is to make this facility truly feel like home to all. Go Angels!!
I’m a California native. I was called to the Christian faith through MVCC in 2004, my husband Daryn also gave his life to Jesus that same year. We have 3 daughters; Madisen, Lauren and Genevieve who also gave their life to Jesus in 2016.
Family Life Administrator
Born and raised in Orange County, Alora gave her heart to Jesus at the age of 15. She married her husband Johnny in 2001, and together they have 3 beautiful children. Alora and Johnny have been blessed to serve alongside one another in Children’s Ministry since 2002. When she’s not wearing her ministry hat, she is busy home-schooling Shiloh, Eden and Caleb. Alora loves a good cup of coffee, Jane Austen movies and spending time with her family.
Children's Ministry Director (Ages 0-K)
Ariana Quezada was born and raised in Southern California. She decided to surrender her life over to Christ her junior year of high school. Working with children has always been her passion. She is truly blessed to be able to share the unending love of Jesus to the little ones every Sunday. Ariana married her high school sweet heart, Michael, in 2009. . Ariana is eager to see what the Lord has planned for her and Children's Ministry.
JaM Ministry Director
Jerenne grew up in Ohio. While attending a Christian Camp her Sophomore year of High School she realized that the beliefs she embraced were false – and that only a personal relationship with Christ would assure eternal life! Jerenne and Tim have served in several churches together and creatively balanced a very active life of youth ministry while purposely involving their two children, Casey and Carley. Jerenne directs our Jam Afterschool and Summer Jam ministries family.
Sherry was born and raised in Oklahoma. She gave her heart to the Lord in 1968. She and her family moved to California in 1986 and begin attending Mission Viejo Christian Church. During the past 25 years, she has been blessed to be a part of the Church Staff and to serve in the Church Office, Children’s Ministry and currently as Principal of Mission Viejo Christian Preschool & Kindergarten She and her husband, David, have been married 33 years and have 2 sons and now 2 daughter-in-laws!!
Kids Club Director
Johnny grew up in Orange County and was invited to attend Youth Group here at MVCC as a sophomore in High School. As a result, he gave his heart and life to Jesus and quickly made MVCC his church home. . He is married to his first sweetheart Alora, and together they have 3 awesome children! Johnny has no greater joy than to see them grow in their faith with Jesus each day. Aside from serving the Lord alongside his family, Johnny loves to cook, watch movies, and rock out playing guitar.
Music Conservatory Director
Nicollette has been playing the piano since she was a young girl. When she was 12 she started taking lessons at the Mission Viejo Christian Conservatory. She knew that playing the piano was her passion and wanted to share that with others. She received a degree in Theology with an emphasis in Worship and Creative Arts from Victory Bible College and has now been teaching lessons for over 10 years. Her and her husband Joel, who plays guitar, play together on the worship team at their church. They have 2 children and live in Trabuco Canyon.
I was born and raised in a large loving family, I am the proud mother of 2 gorgeous sons and the grandmother of 5 grandchildren who bring me great joy. I accepted the call of God on my life at an early age, Today I realize more than ever, that in traveling on the road of life, there are many accidents, detours, even roadblocks, but I am reminded and encouraged knowing that: The race is not given to the swift, nor to the strong, but to the one that endures until the end. Life Verse: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths”.

(& Star Wars). After giving his life to the Lord he decided to use his talents for ministry. Mike has developed several websites for various clients and churches and helps fellow Christian musicians with music and sound production.
Bob Sladek has spent the past 20+ years as an administrator in Christian schools. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Vanguard University and his Master of Arts in Education from Oral Roberts University. He has a Lifetime Administrator’s Certificate from the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). He is passionate about Christian education and ensuring that Christian schools are Christ-centered, academically excellent, and student-focused. Equipping the next generation is his life’s calling.
Elementary Director (1st-5th grades)
Stephanie was born and raised in Southern California and has known the Lord her whole life. Stephanie felt the call to ministry shortly after she gave her life to the Lord. Stephanie has a heart for children and families and strives to intentionally partner with parents in discipling their children. She also desires to develop and equip volunteer leaders to be successful in their ministry. She has her Bachelor of Arts in Christian Ministry from Biola University with a specialization in Children’s Ministry. She has served in Children’s Ministry for a number of years in churches from all different sizes, communities and available resources.
