Nursery  (Infants 3 months—12 months/walking)

In the Nursery we have a wonderful opportunity to show God’s littlest lambs and their parent’s the love of Christ through a safe and nurturing experience each and every visit at Mission Viejo Christian Church.  We give lots of loving hugs for these precious little lambs.  As our babies begin to grow, simple Bible stories and songs are shared so that they may learn of God’s perfect love at the earliest opportunity.  It is our goal that each parent will feel assured that their child will be cared for in an attentive and loving manner and that the parent will be notified if their child needs them at any time.  In the event that a child is in need of a parent’s attention we would use our Parent Alert System that would notify the parent. 

When packing a diaper bag please include the following items:

1.      At least 2 disposable diapers.

2.      Bottle that is filled with milk, formula, or water. 

3.      A change of clothes

4.      Any other item that would help your child feels secure…for example child’s favorite blanket, pacifier, rattle, etc.

Please ensure all personal items are marked with child’s name.  We will supply you with a Diaper Bag Tag at the sign in table.

Toddlers    (Walkers-24 Months)

In our Toddler room we encourage the children to experience Jesus.  Often this is with a loving hug or with one or our toddler room staff sitting on the floor and reading a bible story with the child.  Simple stories and songs are shared so that they may learn of God’s perfect love at the earliest opportunity. There are lots of fun toys for the children to enjoy and we enjoy a lot of playtime.  This age group also enjoys coloring, music, and videos.  Snacks are served in this room that will usually consist of either goldfish or graham crackers and water.  It is our goal that each parent will feel assured that their child will be cared for in an attentive and loving manner and that the parent will be notified if their child needs them at any time.  In the event that a child is in need of a parent’s attention we would use our Parent Alert System that would notify the parent.

Preschool   (Two years of age through Kindergarten)

For ages two through kindergarten, our focus is growing through and learning about God and His Word. We teach our preschoolers who their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is. We encourage them to discover His love in a nurturing environment through a variety of Bible learning activities including worship and a video curriculum that was created for their level of comprehension. Each Sunday includes a time of Worship, Bible story and lesson, Bible verse memorization, Prayer, Snack and Craft. We send home a take home page each Sunday that has a lesson review on one side and parent/child devotionals on the other side.  This give you as a parent a chance to reinforce the story that they learned in their Sunday school class and helps to nurture the seeds of faith planted in your child.
